My friend gave me her Fitbit as she got a new one so I have downloaded the app but it can't find the device when im trying to set it up

There's a couple of things to check.
Firstly, make sure your phone is supported by fitbit at www.fitbit.com/devices If it's on that list it should work; if it's not then it may or may not work.
Secondly, if your friend was around when you tried then make sure her phone doesn't have a bluetooth connection to the fitbit. If it does then remove it as it may be blocking connection to your phone.

I would ask your friend to help you, they have done the setup at least twice already.
Just make sure the Fitbit they gave you has been removed from their phones Bluetooth.

Managed to get a dongel and set up on my computer as my phone is not compatible. Thanks for your help
