Fitbit app crashing on android everyday, have to reinstall to get all features every time

Hi, I have a Versa 2. For the past couple of months, the app has been crashing almost once everyday. 

It says "Fitbit failed to start several times. Reset by clearing history?" And when I clear history, half the features don't come up in the app like Alexa and resets to some old version of the app and I have to reinstall the app everytime to get all features. Spotify, agenda everything stops functioning everytime this happens. 

Any suggestion will be great. Most of the functions of fitbit are becoming defunct due to this issue.

I know how to clear the Fitbit app cache, but no history is stored for an app. I think you cleared the app data which requires you to log into your Fitbit account.

They clearing only the app cache. 

Then through the phone settings, stop the app.

Then If the app keeps crashing I would remove the app and install a fresh copy.
