Notice the large black bar at the bottom of the screenshot:
The app must be updated in order to fully fill the screen. There shouldn't be any problems if it's using standard Android views and elements.

It's not a critical problem, but it makes the app look a lot better.

Hi there @teddyfrozevelt, good to see you around and my apologies for the late response.
I've seen in other Communities this has been an issue with some app in Pixel 2 XL. I'm wondering if your phone settings doesn't have an option to re-scale the format of the app to 18:9 ratio of the Pixel 2 XL screen? I had a similar issue with the Galaxy S8+, however I was able to find the option to fit the screen of those apps that are developed for standard screen ratio.
Nonetheless, I appreciate your feedback about this and I will pass forward your comments to our teams to consider this in a near future.
See you later and let us know if you have more feedback.

Hello,
The Pixel 2 XL doesn't have a way to force apps to fit the entire screen, probably because poorly designed apps will have issues if forced. Google left it up to the developers to support new screen sizes.
I'd be happy to test an update to the Fitbit app if no one there has a Pixel 2.
