Fitbit app not showing real-time heart rate and steps data with Pixel 2

Upgraded from Sense 2 to Pixel 2 watch. Real-time heart rate shows on Pixel 2 both on Today tab and Heart rate tile. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are linked. Fitbit app shows a range of heart rates upon manual sync but there is no real time heart rate while exercising. Also, Steps only updates on manual sync, There are no real-time steps in Fitbit app. I went back to my Sense 2 and it is working correctly on same Fitbit App...just a different device used. I did a factory reset on my Pixel 2 and reinstalled it. I am back to the original problem(s) described with no real-time heart rate or steps.

HR data is currently broken on the Android app. They won't admit it, customer service won't acknowledge it, but it is absolutely obvious based on the numerous posts / comments / reviews stating that HR data sync is broken.

As I have found, if you request a data dump from Google, the HR data points are there, but the mobile app isn't rendering them for Android (sometimes). Furthermore, if you login on the iPhone app, all the data shows up. This indicates an issue with the Android app, but who knows when it will be fixed.

Fitbit support advised me to wait and install version 4.04 ASAP and see if that doesn't fix it.

@fix_hr_sync Thanks for your input. There was a situation confirmed with live heart rate data not showing with the previous app update. However, that affected iOS devices only. We shall see if other users report the same situation. Additionally this seems to be an isolated situation with the Pixel 2.

@thomaswclark Thanks for taking the time to let us know that the Fitbit app is not showing the heart rate live data. The 4.04 Fitbit app did fix it for all iOS devices. However, this had not affected any Android users. Let us see if any other user is experiencing the same. Would you be so kind to send me screenshots of the missing live heart rate on the app? That way I can document this situation properly. Greatly appreciate it.

For the last 3 days, since updating to the new version on the iphone, I have not been able to see heart rate information on auto recognized exercise. I was initially upset about the update to monochrome colors this past month, but now it seems like they are trying to drive it into the ground. For the first time I am trying to find answers on these forums. I called support but after explaining the problem, the call was cut. I have a sense. I hope they improve things.

I have a Charge 5 with the app that has been updated to 4.04. I have attached a photo of what my activity screen (walking in this case) on my phone looks like currently.  Before the update there used to be a graph, similar to the one I've attached from my online Fitbit page, on that same screen that included information such as my peak heart rate.  It's no longer there. Will this be fixed?  Forgot to state that this is an iPhone 15.

Well, this has really tested my patience. I changed to Garmin Venu SQ 2, which has been amazing. After 2 calls to fitbit and no response, I'm done.

My Sense2 stopped counting realtime step count after this latest release.   Watch - great;  iPhone app - useless
