Every few months I will want up with thousands of steps (few nights ago was 8,000). I look at the step graph and it shows me getting all of these thousands steps in a 15 minute period (2:15 am to 2:30am). I know I am not running multiple 5 minute miles in my sleep. This is kind of annoying because it often has me hitting my goal and I really didn't that day. May be just a freak glitch that can't be solved. But would love to know a way to at least delete them so it doesn't throw off my stats.

@AshleyLin1130 Welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.
I moved your post to this board, in an effort to keep the forums organized.
I see how important is to have all the metrics displayed correctly. Please double check if MobileTrack is paired to your account, this is a feature that records basic stats such as steps using your phone's sensors if you don't have a Fitbit device available. If there was a fan or anything buzzing nearby, or if your phone was vibrating, that might have caused you to get incorrect steps during that time.
If this is the case, follow these steps to remove it from your app:
Last but not least, you could log driving as an activity in your app, this to override the steps tracked during those hours.
Hope this helps.

I have the fitbit versa 2 and mine is doing the same thing. The last 3 nights in a row I have woken with more that 7000 steps already. It not moble track because I don't think that's available on the versa and regardless nothing is moving my phone and making me even simulate 8000 steps in less than 5 minutes.
