Fitbit data shows one day with 53 hours of zone minutes

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Is what is says really - the Fitbit app says I did 53 hours of zone minutes in one day. Makes the data unusable, and the thing must be coded pretty woefully for such an obvious bug in such a widely used app. It basically makes all the heart rate data in the app unusable because I now can't make weekly or monthly comparisons.  Tried to put a screenshot here but got an error message.

Hi, @davidj444 , welcome to the community, you may find this article of interest What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device? - Fitbit Help Center .

I hope this helps.

Cheers

How would that help? There are 24 hours in a day and, at most, an activity can only give your double credit. Even if you genuinely earned 24 hours of double cardio credit, 53 hours is absolutely inpossible for a single day.

OP is reporting a bug. That's clearly a bug. Not much of a community response when the reply doesn't pass the Turing test.

Thanks for your response, and apologies if I wasn't clear - I understand what zone minutes are, I'm reporting a fault with the Fitbit App.

The heart rate graph for the day showed eg 60 or 70 minutes in heart rate zones, but the page which tracks zone minutes across days, weeks and months erroneously showed 53 hours worth of zone minutes. It's made the Fitbit unusable because I can no longer track this statistic. I look forward to hearing from you.

Should add, I'm happy to share/post screenshots, but the forum doesn't seem to allow this. Link to a screenshot (edited):

Hi, @davidj444 Thanks for your feedback, I'm running a PW2 on the Pixel8 pro and cannot replicate what you see. May I suggest that you re-install the Fitbit app on your phone (let us know the make, model & OS)

Sync your Fitbit app by sliding your finger down the "Today" screen & releasing it. Go into the Fitbit app in your phone settings>clear cache>force stop>uninstall>restart your phone>reinstall the Fitbit app. Let us know if this has resolved your problem.

Cheers

So what does the Heart Rate Chart show for those two days.

As for posting photos, the forum requires a set number of posts, before the option to upload attachments are enabled.

Thanks - here's the heart rate chart for each of the two days - these graphs, and the zone data below the graphs are correct as far as I am aware (I went running both days), the error is just in the summary plots - there's one more day with a pretty big error as well - really I need these data errors to be corrected to be able to use the Fitbit, because as you can see from the first screenshot, the errors make it impossible to use heart rate zone data (and I basically just train by heart rate), because everything else is dwarfed by these days.
