Fitbit logs phantom 15 min outdoor bike rides, (which I don't know what its logging, I'm nowhere near my bicycle, but driving to or from work in my truck, so I've got to manually delete those activities), but it won't auto log an hour long gym workout, (so I've got to manually log "calisthenics")... stupid software.Screenshot_20190806-080215_Fitbit.png

Hello @toddsdonald if you don't ride a bike much, I suggest disabling the auto bike detection.

As for gym workout, this could be almost anything. Where you doing anything that is auto detectable? Did you take any to long breaks in the hour? You might want to use the manual mode.

Hi and thank you for your reply.

I'm an avid cyclist, so I don't want to disable the bike auto recognition,
however fitbit logs a bike ride for several minutes of my hour long drive
home from work, (see attached).

My gym workouts are nonstop activity for about an hour. It starts with
stretches, leg raises, sit-ups, pushups, planks, treadmill, start climber,
dumbbell chest, arms and shoulders, etc. The ONLY way to log any of this,
is if I manually start and stop gym workout. If I forget to do that, I need
to manually log a "calisthenics" workout, (because gym workout isn't an
option).

None of the exercises mentioned are on the auto detect list, and switching between them may not be detected, can't say I understand this auto detect especially when I prefer to manually start. We get more info.
