Fitbit needs to update the software on their new Aria Air scale for body fat.

My Aria air gave me my body fat on the first day and never since.  Tech support now tells me it was never meant to show it.  Only the Aria 2 gives body fat % and Fitbit no longer makes it.  Keeping track of my body fat is why I joined Fitbit to begin with and now I have to question whether or not I should stay.

I will confirm Aria Air does not measure body fat.  It does not have the required hardware to do so, so could not be added even with firmware update.  The display can be confusing as it has a dim body fat display with no number with it, I assume because that is stock display part.  I cannot imagine how it ever did show you a body fat number.

There are several other non-Fitbit reasonably priced scales that do measure body fat that will link results to Fitbit app.

You might ask for suggestion on either of these boards: Manage Weight  or Third-Party Integrations .

Or you can take a look on Amazon and search for "Smart Scales Fitbit"  or some such terms and find many reasonably-priced scales that claim to measure body fat and link to Fitbit, and could ask on boards mentioned above for opinions of them.

Sorry if bought scales under wrong impression.  Maybe still returnable, or can find someone else who can use it, and get a suitable replacement.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
