Fitbit phone app keeps crashing

The fitbit app on my Samsung phone keeps crashing. Icon changes to a dark square and says app not installed.  Is Fitbit trying to update the app?

I am very close to going back to my analog watch. It fits better, battery lasts for 2-3 years, and generally speaking does not exhibit the technology failures of this widget.

Our team is constantly releasing new versions of the Fitbit app to improve the Fitbit experience. If you continue having the same issue please try the following steps:

- Uninstall the Fitbit app

- Reboot your cellphone

- Reinstall the Fitbit app

So, it appears that Fitbit has updated their software once again. This time the min requirements are Android 7.0. My still working just fin Samsung Galaxy S6 is on android 6.0.1.

You just lost a customer and I won't be coming back. The 70MB bloatware was bad enough. The non-functioning "sync all day" was seriously annoying, but now you've rendered your own device (Fitbit Blaze) to be nothing other than a new spin on a 70's era digital watch. I'm old enough where I can actually tell time using the hands of a clock. I can see why your stock continues it's long drawn out death gasp.
