I've had this issue for over a month. I've talked with Customer Service, I've looked around these fora, I've followed the instructions about turning the phone on/off, uninstalling/installing the app, and nothing has worked. I'm not sure what happened on the 3.18 update but basically it turned me from a Fitbit advocate to a Fitbit hater, yet I still lurk around here trying to find a solution so I can get back to using my Versa.
Because they may ask:
HTC One M9
Android 7.0
Fitbit 3.19 (now currently uninstalled and removed)

I had the same issue after I updated the App to v3.17 or later.
If you use some ad-blocker app like Adguard or something try to turn it off.
I set the Fitbit app as an exception in the Adguard settings. Then the issue went away.

I do not have an adblocker app installed.
Just tried again with 3.20 and after downloading and logging in: "No Internet Connection".

An add bocker won't cause this but a VPN would and with more phone users using VPNs we are seeing more reports of misconfigured VPNs

No VPN either.
