Fitbit site shows more miles than next badge

I just received the New Zealand badge on May 8, but show 1769 miles on the Fitbit site. I have about 100 more miles on my fitbit app in the last couple of weeks. That would be around 1090 miles. Why is the website so different? I logged about 30 miles manually one week when I forgot my fitbit on some business trip. Even if you remove the 30 manual miles, there is still over 600 more miles showing on the website. My total floors on the app and website match. Why does the miles not match?

@Mwhals Welcome to the Community!

Please keep in mind that manually logged activities do not count towards badges. If you're shooting to earn another badge, I recommend only using the data synced from your tracker.

I also encourage you to take a look at our article on badges for more information.

Let me know if you need any additional help! Smiley Happy

I know manually entered miles are not counted for badges. I only did 30 miles manually entered in a week. All my miles, except 30 are by fitbit. That does not explain why the website shows almost 600 more miles than my fitbit app. I think my Fitbit app is correct, so why does the website show so many more. Those 30 miles of manually entered miles also show up on my app. This question is about why they are so different.

Thanks for getting back @Mwhals! So we can assist you further, please send us screen shots showing what you're getting on your app and also on your Dashboard online.

Maybe you're checking in a different place, but let's try figuring it out!

Odd. When I log on to this site from my smartphone, I get the big mile difference from my app. When I log on to this site on a PC, the site and app match. I wonder why. I only have one account.

Here are the app and smartphone internet pictures (now that I know the PC internet view matches the app) showing lifetime miles (which is from December 26th).

Thanks for the pictures, I've tested mine and I'm getting the same results either on my Fitbit app or Dashboard online (even if I use the browser on my phone to log into my Dashboard). What I'm assuming that may be happening here is that probably the Fitbit App is not running the latest version. Have you checked if it's installed @Mwhals? Find the instructions here.

I am running the latest fitbit app now. The issue is between my smartphone Web browser and PC Web browser in that they are different. The app matches the PC Web browser.

Deleted as I saw Fitbit is working on the issue.

Thanks. It was weird getting three lifetime distance badges at the same minute. Still never found a reason why a PC browser matches my fitbit miles and the smartphone browser shoes 750 more miles while logged into the exact same account.
