Fitbit stuck, won't set up

I have a Samsung galaxy j7 percent. I just purchased the fit bit Alta hr.gre I have done each step a million times to get the device to pair with my phone it will not pair. The fit bit screen is stuck on fitbit.com/setup. I even tried it with a computer and the doggle plug and it says the same thing on the home screen. I was really excited about my fit bit purchase today now I'm questioning if I should return it. Please help me.

Welcome to the Forums @Randip85!

 

This might be happening because the Galaxy J7 is not on the supported devices list. This means that the app has not been fully optimized to work with that phone and thus issues like this are to be expected. 

 

As long as the phone fulfills the minimum requirements, Android 4.4 and Bluetooth 4.0, there is a chance that they will work correctly however we cannot guarantee it. Having said that, some users have mentioned that following these steps has helped them get their phones not on the list to sync and work correctly. Maybe you could give it a try.

 

As for trying it on the computer, did you get some sort of error message on the computer itself?  If so, what did it say? Even then, try going through the steps above and then running the setup again. That should definitely help.
