Fitbit won't track mileage or add friends

I just got done biking and when I went to see how far I went and the route I took, my fitbit app wouldn't show me. Also having trouble adding friends on the app. Will only let me add friends that don't have a fitbit.

@Emily_Grace, which Fitbit tracker do you have?  Do you use SmartTrack to automatically track your ride?

Yeah, I thought this was not working. You have to navigate to the activities menu and "begin" biking before you start riding by holding down the button, then stop it when you are done. It can automatically detect activity from the accelerometer, after the fact, but it can't retroactively engage GPS tracking from the phone and it doesn't run it all the time in order to save batteries.
