Hi everyone -- The frequent and recent foods not updating issue should now be fixed with the release of the Fitbit app for Android, version 2.37. I recommend updating and then testing it out. Let me know what you find out!

Welcome to our Community @Shogun720! Thanks for joining us! Have you tried logging out and logging back in on the app and see if your food saves correctly?
Keep me posted!

@MeylinPJudging by the amount of times this issue is raised over the past 12+ months, I am gobsmacked that it has yet to be resolved and the solurtion is to log out and log in after everytime you add food!
My wife has the iphone version of the app and it is clear to see where your devs spend their time....
They have features such as giving a list of food that is often eaten with the food you just added to make adding regular meals easy and Android is stuck with frequent and recent food lists that dont even update unless you log out of the app.

This only works on updating recent foods, NOT frequent foods. There's things on there that I've not logged in a long long time. No matter the number of times I've logged out and back in, no update to frequent foods

Hey guys @DeinGesicht @wezman, it's nice to see you around the Community! Please try doing the following:
- Log out of your Fitbit App
- Force quit the App
- Turn off the Bluetooth
- Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes
- Turn on the Bluetooth
- Log back into your Fitbit App
- Make sure that you both are running the latest version of your Fitbit app
Let me know if this works!

@MarreFitbit This work around is a one time only solution, it only forces the recent food list to update once, but it does not fix the issue. The next time you add food, it does not get added to the list unless you log in and out of the app.
Surey you cant expect everyone to log out of the app and back in adfter every meal?

@MarreFitbit I can confirm this does not work as a viable solution, it is a poor work around at best. Fitbit needs to solve the root cause of this bug. Judging by threads and comments, it is a bug that has existed for well over 12 months.
Doing as you described updates the recent food lists with what is on the website, but it does not contine to update it after each subsequent meal unless you log out and in after each meal...

I agree @wezman While this workaround did work for me, we really shouldn't NEED to do this each and every time we log a food item, especially if, like you say, it doesn't seem to be a problem on the iphone version.

@rjurd @twisesq @wezman We recently released the Fitbit App for Android, version 2.26 update. I recommend updating your app for 2.26 and then giving it another try. Let me know if the app update resolves it for you.

I also found the new update doesn't fix the issue. Also, if you edit a custom meal the app does not update the contents of the meal. It would be nice to get this issue fixed- I've been watching this topic on the forum for almost a year now!

Why do these lists not update automatically?

Clearing the cache did not get the recent foods to update. Rather, the custom foods feature no longer works and my app crashes when I try to log a custom meal. I tried re-installing the app with no change- still does not update recent foods and no ability to log a custom meal.
