I've had my fitbit for about a year, I literally never take the thing off. Two weeks ago I noticed that my cardio fitness having been stable for the whole year suddenly dropped about 7 points. Also my runs are suddenly way shorter than they have always been. My pace is way off and drops even as I run faster. I now can't get accurate readings at all. I did a test at lunchtime with a 1km walk. I used the mapmyrun app and the fitbit. The Mapmyrun app came in at 1km exactly. The fitbit came in at .77km. Same phone, same gps. Something has broken, can anyone help?

You'd think this should have been fixed weeks ago. Fingers crossed for the next update to fix it... And soon.

Still not working. I factory reset my Samsung S9+ and did a couple of test 1km walks. It was spot on but that only lasted for a couple days. Now it's way off again. Just did a 3.77km walk that fitbit logged as 2.99km

3.8 version of Android is now rolling out.
Some users have already got it.
Let's hope it improves that accuracy (I know I'm probably too optimistic, lol)

Here's another interesting discussion about the "Connected GPS inaccurate Distance". A lot of people have been posting there. Maybe if more users who are affected report this problem, the devs might take this more seriously.
