Not sure where to put this, but as it deals with the dashboard I thought I'd put it here. It's a GPS question.

I am not sure exactly what you are saying, @ValerieAnne, so I am not sure exactly how to reply. Are you saying you are using the Fitbit app to "map my walk" using the phone's GPS, and comparing that to what? You don't mention which tracker you have, or phone/app. Do you have the latest Fitbit app installed?

Sorry, @USAF-Larry. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a Fitbit Flex. I am using the 'track activity feature' within the Android app (is that the same as the 'map my walk' feature you are talking about?). The other application I am using/comparing it to is called FitApp (fitapp.info). Fitapp strictly uses the phone's GPS and isn't connected to a device itself.. so it's using the same GPS as the Fitbit App is using.
I'm just curious on to why the GPS would be half/the maps would only show half of the other after a week of them being exactly the same. For example, in the photos provided, the fitbit app only mapped .39 miles, while the fitapp mapped .68 (which is accurate). On Wednesday (10/12) the fitbit tracked .34 miles, whereas the fitapp tracked .37 miles (so not much of a difference). On Tuesday (10/11) both applications tracked .88 miles
Hopefully that made more sense, but I'm not sure if it did or not. 😕

Yes, @ValerieAnne, that filled in a lot of the blanks. Yes, "track activity feature" is what I was asking about. What concerns me is that in the left-hand screen snapshot you provided, I do not see the GPS Satellite icon on the top toolbar. That is what the map feature of the Fitbit app uses to accurately measure distance. You may want to see if your phone has Battery Optimization enabled for the Fitbit app, and disable it if it does.
