The other day my fitbit charge 2 and my galaxy S5, stopped tracking my runs with Google maps. It will still tell me I've ran but I dI'd enjoy seeing my runs tracked. A message had appeared on the fitbit to check the app when I hit start run, but this last run that message did not appear and it still was unable to give me a map of my run. I have tried resetting everything and double checked my phones settings and still nothing. I even tried to run with the app open the whole time and nothing. Any ideas?

Hello there @Maisoncrawford, nice to have you here in the Fitbit Community as a new member! I'm wondering if you were using the option of Connected GPS with your Charge 2 or MobileRun from your Fitbit app? Is your Android running version 8.0 (Oreo)?
By the description of your post, I believe you are using Connected GPS. It is possible the GPS is unable to connect or is intermittently, reason why you are not seeing the map course. For this I recommend to review the following article: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?.
Keep me posted how it goes, I'll be around!

Hi there @Mishy8585, a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community! I've been away lately in other stuff, so my apologies for the late response.
I'm wondering how it goes? Is the issue still persisting? In case it does would you ind to share a few more details of the issue you are experiencing with GPS?
Is true that the environment can have an impact in the GPS signal. Please review the previous article I've shared: Here is explain that a weak GPS signal on your mobile device is often caused by environmental factors such as tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, or even thick cloud cover. All of these can interrupt the connection between your tracker and GPS satellites.
One way to force your phone keep a steady GPS connection with the tracker and the Fitbit app is to enable the option of "Keep-Alive Widget" to access here tap on tracker/watch and scroll to the bottom.
Turning on the widget prevents Android from shutting off the connection between the phone and tracker/watch.
Catch you later and keep participating in the Fitbit Community!

Hi. I'm seeing the same issue as well. I do pretty much the same route. I turn activity on though the app. On 12th and 13th of this month it tracked normally - as for last year or so. Today turned on - with correct location showing. Told me I was recording. When I finished I pressed stop button on app screen as normal - distance and time were showing. Went to review about 20mins later and it wasn't there. Forced the app to sync and the activity appeared in the list, but selecting it shows HR, calories burned and impact, but no route map, distance or split times. What has changed ?

Same issue happened to me today on my normal route. I open app on IPhone as usual and start recording the run on the phone synced to the charge 2. At end of run I stopped the run on the app. Usually shows in fit bit app with miles and split times, not the case today. Very disappointing.

I'm having the same issue with the Charge 3, but only for my longer walks. I did 2 miles today with no issue on the map, but my 16 miles from yesterday won't show on the map.

I have the exact same problem with my charge 2 and iPhone 11: the app seems too track the whole distance when walking, but after concluding the walk the app doesn't show the last 3 miles or so. It's disappointing...

My Fitbit charge 2 and iPhone, stopped tracking my runs with maps as of Feb 15 (the last time I tracked properly was Fed 14th).
As usual, I open the Fitbit app and tap exercise and start. I did get a message for poor GPS signal and if I should continue, which I click ok/continue. While I am running it’s fine; it tells my miles completed, lap times, etc.
Once my run is complete, I click finish, it shows my total run time, and miles, and pace for a couple of seconds, but it does not being over the information on the main exercise screen.
I have tried everything; checking all the settings, force syncs, restarting my phone, checking GPS on the phone, etc. Still nothing.
I really liked seeing all the total miles, split time, along with the map!
Has anyone found a solution for this – if so please help 😊

My issue is very similar, even having my iPhone with me during the run does not help with tracking. I register everything but the tracking, and to make this even more strange is that when am I cycling it is registering the tracking, but not for a run?

Similar problem with my charge3 with iPhone X. The app does record a track/map. I do the same 6k walk and it been working but the three time the track only recorded 0.02m although it the Fitbit app says I walked 6k. Very frustrating, I was thinking of upgrading to the new Fitbit but not now.

So this happened to me recently. My bike rides and hikes just suddenly didn't include maps, speeds etc. even though I hadn't made any changes. I'm using a Fitbit Inspire HR connected to a Samsung Note 9 via Bluetooth. I solved the problem by going to Settings -> Permisson Manager -> Location and allowing the Fitbit app access to location "All The Time". For some reason it had been set to "Only While In Use". I suspect this was the result of an Android update. That fixed the issue for me.
