When my samsung note 5 had just recently updated a system update and now my gps mapping is way off. It shows as the crow flies and the distance is way off. So I'm asking as to what I need to do to get it back on track again?

It's nice to have a new member here, welcome @MtHuskers! I'm wondering if you were using the option of Connected GPS with your Charge 2 or MobileRun from your Fitbit app? What OS is your Android phone running?
By the description of your post, I believe you are using Connected GPS. It is possible the GPS is unable to connect or is intermittently, reason why you are not seeing the map course. For this I recommend to review the following article: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?.
Also, please double check that your Fitbit app is running the latest version which is 2.76. Running old versions sometimes might affect the performance of your device and data.
PS: I've moved your post to the Android App board as there are more changes to get related replies here.
Give this a go and let me know the outcome!
