Hi. I am new to fitbit. I have a charge 2. I want to know if it is required to keep the GPS always switched on, on my phone, or only during the runs. Does it take the gps information while I drive and add it to the stats?

Hi, @Kkarthickrm! The only time GPS is used is when you're actively tracking an activity such as run/walk/hike on your watch. You'll get a little icon like a phone when you're doing these activities, which is an indication that your tracker is connected to your phone and is using your phone's GPS. The rest of the time, it does not need or use your GPS.
