Galaxy Note 4 problems

Looking for some help.  My mother bought a Fitbit Surge.  She has a Galaxy Note 4 running Marshmallow.  After opening the app, I'm given two options, "Join Fitbit" and "Log In".  Attempting to "Join Fitbit", the words "Which Fitbit tracker are you setting up?" flash at the top of the screen for a split second, and then it goes back to the previous menu.  I went to the Fitbit site on my comp, made her an account, and attempted to log in through the app.  It just tells me, "Incorrect date or time on the phone.  Please check time settings."  App Settings shows all permissions enabled.  Her phone has location services turned on.  The Note 4 is listed under supported devices.  My own personal phone is an HTC M8, also running Marshmallow, and the app seems to work fine there.  "Join Fitbit" shows my a list of trackers and will let me pair.  "Log In" lets me access the account I made for her through the site.  I'll continue to futz around with it, but any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

EDIT:  It fully works on my phone.  I went through the process and paired the Surge with my phone through the app.  It's listed under Devices on the dashboard.  Still unsure why the app fails to work on my mom's phone.

EDIT 2:  Fixed.  Not sure why it would require her phone to use automatic network time to work in the first place, but I guess that's why I'm not a programmer.  Checked the box, and everything worked smoothly.

Hey hey hey @Maryson welcome to the Community! Smiley Very Happy Oh! sounds great that your mom's Surge was finally paired, with a different mobile device instead of the Galaxy Note 4.  You were right, as you mentioned, if you recently upgraded to OS 6.0 (Marshmallow) you must have location services turned on to sync your tracker. With this latest update, Google changed the permissions for Bluetooth syncing, requiring the use of location services. For more information about the latest Google permission requirements, see Google’s Android 6.0 Changes document here: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html#behavior-hardware-....
