Hello @Vicwill welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here 🙂 I was reviewing the list of compatible syncing devices and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A is not listed here. Our team is working hard to get more devices incorporated on this list, keep an eye on the Community for any update. Also the USB Dongle does not work with Android mobile devices, it is used to sync with computers.
I'll be around if you have any question. 🙂

Hello @Vicwill, wow traveling for 12 months sounds great!
You can manually add the steps to your account. For more information you can read the help article: How do I manually log or record an activity?
Let me know if this helps! 🙂

@AGreen27 wrote:Has there been any updates on this yet? I was wanting to get my mom a FitBit Charge 2 for her birthday this year. She would love to be able to see her progress! Please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks!
No, Fitbit doesn't seem to be updating compatible device list anymore. It's been static for a very long time.
Best AnswerI have been trying to sync my Flex 2 to my Tab A with no luck. Then I found a site that list compatible devices to find the Tab A is not listed.
Will you please advise me when the Tab A has been made to accept the Fitbit device?
Best AnswerRunning out of tablets phones to try to sync with new Fitbit Alta. Samsung galaxy Tab A ,samsung J3 2017 both not compatable. Won,t sync with my nexus 7 2013 model or hubby's phone which is a Galaxy core lite which as far as I can see are both compatable. Any suggestions on next step. Only had the Alta for a week.
Best AnswerYeah, i read those same "we're working on compatibility" comments when i got my new Samsung phone 2 years ago, and still nothing. So my fitbit is basically just a really expensive pedometer. Im sorry i ever bought it, and will probably never buy another.
I just don't get it, I have the Samsung Tab A and it has not had any issues with syncing however now my wife's has stopped syncing, and your telling me that it is not supported ! ? We have had the charger 2 since they came out and this is the first issue, can we expect a update to repair?
I have the Galaxy Tab A8 (2017). Just got it in Dec. 2018. It was syncing fine with my Fitbit One until 2 days ago. Now it won't sync. I wonder if there's something that's gone south with the Fitbit servers and systems. Very upsetting. I need to be able to sync with my tablet and with my Galaxy S6 Edge phone when I'm out and about and even just in my house when I don't want to turn on my PC.
Best AnswerMine stopped working a few weeks ago but I assumed the problem was my old flex. I spent hours and hours trying to reset and resynch. Frustrated by this whole thing. I ended up throwing away a perfectly fine flex and purchased a new one. I spent hours and hours again trying to setup the new one. Now I find that Fitbit is no longer compliant with the Tab A. What a waste.
Best AnswerI saw your note that fitbit doesnt have a bluetooth link to galaxy A. What happened to it. It used to recognize it and then one day it didnt. Is the problem in the fitbit or the galaxy?
