Did everything I could, reset ionic, unpaired, Uninstaller and reinstalled app. Initially it stopped sync, but now it's not even pairing.

Hi @Avionic,
It may be a shot in the dark, but have you tried setting up the Ionic as a new device in the Fitbit app?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Avionic. It's nice to see you around and thank you for your help, @DramaQueenDiva.
@Avionic Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand how you are feeling about this situation and recommend trying the following:
1. Force stop the Fitbit app on your phone: phone's Settings > Applications > find the Fitbit app > select it > Storage > Clear cache. Then go back and select Force stop.
2. Uninstall the app from your mobile device.
3. Make sure that the Android version is up to date.
4. Reboot your mobile device.
5. Reinstall the Fitbit app.
6. Login using your account credentials and try to set up the watch: How do I set up a replacement device or add a second device to my account?
By the way, I've moved your post to the Android App board so we can keep our forums organized.
Hope this helps!

Thank you @LiliyaFitbit for detailed instructions.
I followed them but to no avail. However a day later, I saw fitbit notification on my phone, prompting me attend linking my device again. It worked then.
To my surprise, it stopped working again when I tried to update tracker software.
So now, I have my ionic linked to phone but not synching and any action gives me same error - fiitbot.com down for maintenance.

Thank you for your reply, @Avionic.
I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. I recommend restarting your router and following the tips at Why can't I update my Fitbit device?
You can also try turning off WiFi on your phone and try using your cellular data.
Hope this gets you back on track.
