I’ve been using Fitbit for 13 years. I started with the Flex 1 band, then moved on to the Flex 2 and stuck with it, because no one ever considered that there are people who don’t want to wear a watch at home or to sleep. We want something simple, that counts steps and shows sleep analysis beyond just bedtime and wake-up time, but still in a simple way. The Flex 2 met all those requirements perfectly, and as I said, if you had kept releasing updated models, I would have bought them. I would have remained a happy Fitbit user. I already have other options if I want to wear a watch, even Fitbit watches, why not? It would be ideal to have all the data under one account with different devices. But at home, and especially for sleep, I want the thinnest, lightest, least intrusive option possible.
Unfortunately, after all this time, I have to say goodbye to Fitbit, and the worst part is that I don’t feel sad, I feel angry. I understand that the Flex 2 has been discontinued, and I even understand that no updates were made for it. But what’s worse is that there were updates, and they only made things worse. First, you changed the sleep graph to a worse, more confusing version. And now, you’ve completely removed any kind of graph. For the past few days, I only get the time I fell asleep and the time I woke up. I find this extremely unfair, because I bought a device with functions that were much better than that. You can’t just change what was agreed upon whenever you like, it’s not fair to the customer. And you still offer me no alternative. There’s nothing similar to the Flex 2, with no screen and such a tiny weight. And no, this won’t push me to buy another Fitbit model, but it does push me to leave the company.
I’ve found an alternative. It does have a screen, of course, but I refuse to make it a Fitbit, because Fitbit never listened to its users and as a customer I feel mistreated. My new option is much cheaper than anything Fitbit offers and also much better. It’s a shame to lose all my tracking history, but I actually feel relieved to say goodbye. Goodbye, Fitbit.

@Tekka Your post sounds similar to my situation. I have been using fitbit devices since 2013. I started with the ZIP, then the ONE, and now the Inspire. I too am not interested in wearing a watch-like device, and am super frustrated that the sleep information has deteriorated so much that all I get now is when I went to bed and when I got up. I could use a notepad for that information.
I think what hurts more, especially people like us who have been with fitbit so long, is the loss of the profile page that hosted our lifetime stats. Without this information, I too really have no reason to stay with a product when the company has shown very little interest in keeping their users satisfied. If the things we like so much keep disappearing, actually taken away, why stay?
