Google Pixel 2 XL / Alta HR sync stalls daily, requires reboot

Google Pixel 2 XL

Android 8.1

FitBit Alta HR

Roughly once a day, my Alta HR will be stuck, unable to sync as per the screenshot below.

The only way to get it to sync again is to restart my Pixel.

I contacted FitBit help but they told me hard luck since the Pixel 2 XL isn't yet supported.

Is anyone else experiencing similar sync issues?

YES!!!!  also disgusted by many and frequent syncing issues...........I'm on an android ap, have an Alta HR and Ionic, they were happy enough to sync when asked up until maybe a week ago.  what does that red exclamation point indicate?  I get that also.

I'm also having the exact same problem with my August Smart Lock.

I don't know if this is an issue with Bluetooth LE on the Pixel 2 XL, or it's a problem with the FitBit and August apps. Either way it's incredibly frustrating to have to restart my phone daily just to be able to use these devices.

Hi there everyone! I've been reading your posts about having troubles to sync with the Pixel 2 Xl. Note that this phone has not been declare as compatible yet and I can understand this might be frustrating.

With not compatible devices it is hard to predict the functionality of the Fitbit app as it may fail in some features. It would not hurt to give it a try to the following post for more details: Having trouble syncing? (here's how to fix this).

At the moment as moderators we do not have details of a timeframe of when this mobile phone will become fully compatible. Rest assure our team is always working to test and add more Android devices to the supported devices list for the convince of our users. To see the latest list of supported devices, please go to http://www.fitbit.com/devices.

See you all later and stay tuned to our Fitbit Community for more help.

It's been nearly a year since these posts, and I'm still having the same problem.  Very annoying. What's taking so long? Not sure I'll buy another Fitbit.
