Google Pixel 3a XL, Android 12, not compatible with Fitbit ECG app?

Hello,

I have a new Google Pixel 2 Watch, along with a Pixel 3a XL phone running Android 12.

I want to use the watch for its AFib monitoring, using the Fitbit ECG app in the Play store.  The problem is that the Play Store indicates that the app is not compatible with my phone.  My phone is updated to the latest version of the relevant software and apps.  I cannot find any incompatibility notes anywhere on the Fitbit website in regards to this specific combination of phone and app.

Has the ECG software monitoring been absorbed into other Fitbit software, and I'm just not aware?  I just got my Watch 2, and I'm still trying to figure out all of its abilities.  It is connected and synced to my phone.  But, no ECG app. 😕.  I'm trying to figure out what I'm missing or doing wrong.

Can someone help or at least point me in the right direction?  I may very well be missing something completely, and Im hoping that I don't need to give up on the Watch 2 because of compatibility.

Thank you in advance for your help.
