Google wallet setup not working

Hi, I had to swap out my defective versa 4 with a new one. Now my new Versa 4 won't connect to my Google wallet. Anyone else have this issue? Looking for a solution. Thanks!

Hi, I am experiencing a similar issue but the steps provided didn't help me resolve it.
I previously had a versa 4 and google pay worked on it without any issues. Since then I have swapped to a Sense 2 and now I can no longer set up google wallet on it.

I have removed the versa 4 from my fitbit app and replaced it with the sense 2 which is now all synced. 
When trying to setup google wallet, even though the watch is connected and synced just a moment ago, the app says unable to connect to Sense 2, check watch is on and connected. 

Any suggestions on how this could be resolved?

I am having the same issue and all I got was a run around from customer support. Contact google contact fitbit. Please call google ect.

When I try connecting to Google wallet through the Fitbit app I get an error message saying 'something went wrong. Error connecting to Versa 4. Make sure that it is close by and turned on.' Even though I have just synced. I have also uninstalled and re-installed the app many times as when I first set it up Notifications and syncing wasn't working.

I've have the same problem with my Versa 4. since December. I have been sent 2 replacements an still doesn't work. Customer Service has given me the runaround.  I am now contacting their corporate office. I'm exhausted from all of this. It's not fair that someone hasn't told me anything.

As soon as it tries to connect to Google wallet it fails with the error noted. I think the issue is that once you connect one Fitbit device to Google wallet it will never accept another. Sounds like everyone here has the same issue. They are trying to swap one Fitbit device for another. Seems like a bug that prevents us from taking advantage of google pay functionality on our watch. At this point I have given up. Probably won't continue to buy Fitbit devices. 

I find the alarm vibration is also weak on the versa 4. No longer wakes me up.
