I bought the fitbit charge hr specifically for hr tracking. Complete disappointment to see that it isn't syncing to the app for my samsung s6 edge. Did I just totally waste my money?

Welcome to the Community @Anderson! If your Charge HR is not syncing with the Fitbit app, you should check out the this troubleshoot. If it's the heart rate which is not appearing, I recommend switching it from "Auto or On" to "Off", sync, and restart it. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is compatible at all and should sync all the information correctly. Setting up the tracker as new device may also bring everything back to normal.
