Having trouble syncing two devices to same account

Hello,

I recently joined the fitbit community but have become a bit frustrated. I have a fitbit alta and a zip. I wear the zip through out the day and the alta at home and the gym. Even when I am more than 10feet apart from one of the devices as suggested, I have an extremely difficult time syncing either device. I have to sometimes unpair one of the devices and then repair it when when I am near it again. The sync screen goes back and forth between the two trackers as the cursor spins, and then usually says tracker not found even though it's right next to the phone. I've tried turning Bluetooth on and off, but that does not help. I'm using android 6.0 on Samsung S6.
