Heart rate and gps linking

I've seen a lot of topics like this, but none that exactly match whats happening to me...

I've been using my fitbit blaze (so I realise its a bit old) to log my runs and link to strava. This has been working fine, but I'm having issues with the GPS linking to my watch, so what tends to happen is I have one bar of GPS connection on my blaze (from my phone) when I start, but then it drops off soon ager the run starts, so I just get heart rate at the end, and it doesn't link to strava.

However, the GPS on my phone when I either start the activity on the fitbit or strava apps is much stronger and doesn't drop off. If I try to start the activity with either app however, I don't get the heart rate data from fitbit (on the fitbit app it says "not enough heart rate data, even though it is logging it on the app over the time period I'm exercising).

So my questions are either:

How do I sort my fitbit to pick up the GPS signal that my phone is able to provide, but at the moment is dropping off

Or

How do I start my runs in either the fitbit or strava app and still get the heart rate data?

Many thanks in advance!
