My heart rate monitor stopped working for about 2 weeks. I tried everything, syncing off then on on the app, reset fitbit by holding both buttons, cleaned sensor, uninstalled app and re started. It had no lights on the sensor or very faint. Then out the blue it started working again last week, now it's stopped again 😡
I love the blaze, but the reason i got it was for the heart rate monitor.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Russ

Hi @RustyLyall, awesome to have you here in the Fitbit Community as a new member. Certainly doesn't look like a normal behavior that the HR sensor keep coming On and Off.
Since you tried to restart your tracker already, I'm wondering if you have reviewed your Heart rate sensor settings? Perhaps restarting directly the sensor would do the trick.
- Go to your Fitbit Dashboard and open the account tab
Access to your tracker tab
- Scroll down to the Heart rate settings
- Open the prompt options and switch from On/Auto to Off
- Sync your tracker and go back and repeat the process to turn On/Auto your HR sensor.
- Don't forget to sync your tracker again to apply the changes.
Keep me posted how it goes. I'll be here giving follow up to your concern.

Hi Roberto,
I have carried this out a few times. There are no lights at all now.
Cheers Russ

Hi Roberto,
I have pretty much the same problems with my heart rate monitor as RustyLyall. The monitor on my Blaze seemed to stop working for good this past Monday. It had been intermittent for a few days leading up to that. The LEDs still flash, so I know the problem isn't with that. I've tried all the same steps you suggested to RustyLyall and it still hasn't solved the problem. I'm attaching some screenshots so you can see the graphs leading up to the problem. I've never had any problems with the monitor up to this point, so I'm scratching my head on this one. Any suggestions would he appreciated .

Hello there fellows! You are welcome @RustyLyall, thanks to you for all your patience.
Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community @BradMH. I was reading your post and it seems your heart is working but intermittently as I can see on your screenshot. Thank you by the way as this allow me a closer look of what you are experiencing.
Occasionally the tracker can have difficulty finding a signal, typically due to the tracker's fit. For example, wearing your band tightly may constrict blood flow in your wrist and affect the signal. We also recommend experimenting with how high you place the tracker on your wrist. When you're not exercising, wearing the tracker just above the wrist bone typically works fine. However, moving the tracker up a couple inches can be helpful during high-intensity exercises or exercises that cause you to bend your wrist frequently.
Keep me posted, I'll be around!

Hi Roberto, thanks for the response. Unfortunately, Fitbit support was unable to resolve the issue through 3 different chat sessions. The heart rate monitor is malfunctioning and giving inaccurate readings, or just doesn't work at times altogether. All that support could offer was a discount on the purchase of another tracker, but the only one I would be interested in is the Ionic and it's not part of the discount. I have a bunch of Best Buy gift cards so I may be taking a look at a Garmin tracker, as there are currently good sales going on. I also haven't been too impressed with Fitbit's reliability, as my girlfriend's tracker crashed right before the warranty expired. Thankfully she was able to get hers replaced, but I wasn't so fortunate .
Hopefully down the road Fitbit will give the option for extended warranties or their reliability will improve. If that's the case I may revisit them again sometime.
Thanks again!
