Hey all,
Since June 21st at 5 PM, my PW2 stopped recording HR data over time and sending it to the application. My heart rate sensor is working, and the heart rate tile on my watch shows my HR over x number of hours via graph, but clicking on the graph in my watch says it doesnt have any data and on my phone is says the name.
I've tried uninstalling the app both on the phone and watch, I've tried doing the "change to 24 hour clock" thing, I've even just now deleted all the historic heart rate data that some posts here suggested that made it work. I've noticed there's been a lot of sync/tracking issues since the June update as far as bug posts goes, is this a known issue sorta thing?
For additional possibly relevant information: it stopped working just as the cruise ship I had boarded left port, and in open waters there's bad signal, but yeah

Hi, @JMCC23, welcome to the community. It seems to be an app issue rather than a Pixel Watch issue. As the app worked previously, I assume your phone is compatible, and though you do not mention the make or model, you have not changed it. The practice of deleting the app & reloading is a comprehensive expression of the old age switch it off/switch it on solution to problems. The detail is important as you need to create a clean slate before reloading. The best way forward is to sync your Fitbit app, go to the app in your phone settings>force stop>clear storage & Cache>uninstall>in connected devices, forget your PW2. Now, RESTART YOUR PHONE. Reload the Fitbit app from the Play Store and log in using your Google account, set the app & pair your PW2. You'll need to renew some settings.
I hope this helps,
Please post here again & let us know how you get on.
Cheers

Hey! Thanks for the recommendation, but sadly it didn't work. I even tried to see if it would work overnight maybe (usually never wore it to sleep because of dermatitis), and my watch is also not recording sleep 😕 same issue, "no data"
My phone is a Pixel 8 btw, so yeah compatible, and has been since I got both at the same time
I think it may be hardware at this point rather than the app sadly

Update: still nothing, even after I finally got the push for both the watch's fitbit update and the phone's fitbit update.

Hello @JMCC23
I know it's been awhile since your last post. Were you able to get your Heart rate data again in the app?

Nope! Tried all the troubleshooting methods 3 times over after the update and nothing helped 😕

Hello @JMCC23
Thanks for letting us know that you're still having problems with seeing your heart rate data in the Fitbit app.
You're still seeing your heart rate on your PW 2 and you see the green light on the back of your watch, correct? Are you having issues with any other data syncing to the app?
By any chance, have you tried doing a factory data reset on your PW2? I'm wondering if you need to do a full "clean slate" on both your PW2 and Fitbit app. If you do try this, don't use a backup file to restore your PW2. Sometimes, the backup files contain the "bug" and would cause the problem to reappear, speaking from experience.

Yup, I have tried that twice before the July update push and twice after I got it. Nothing has worked.
I see my heartrate on my watch specifically in the "past two hours" tile like I said in my OP, but when I click on the tile to see breakdowns of heart rate zones, the data does not show up. Likewise, the phone app is not showing that data. Also both my watch and my phone aren't tracking sleep.
I think it's evident it's a sync bug between the PW2 and the new Health Connect system, and it seems it's fairly widespread given recurring similar posts 😕 one fitbit CS rep in chat mentioned they are aware of various bugs since July and wrapped up in the new google stuff but yeah this sucks
