Hourly move reminders won't turn off on my Pixel watch

I followed the instructions listed in
https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Android-App/How-do-I-turn-off-reminders-to-move-on-Pixel-Watch-3/td-...

However, my watch continues to interrupt me every hour telling me to move.  Ironically I'm on my computer right now rather than going to the gym, because I got interrupted by this once again.

Please, either fix this bug, or tell me a way to turn it off that actually works.

Hi, @ellarsee , welcome to the community. The advice given by @RiekoC in your link is correct. May I suggest you review your settings? Touch the icon in the top left of the "Today" screen in the Fitbit app>Google Pixel Watch>reminders to move>the "get reminders" slider should be to the left & the lower screen blank. If you slide the black dot to the right, the lower screen is populated with the start & end times, and you can choose the day of the week you want the reminders. The correct position for the dot is to the left.

Let us know how you get on by posting here again.

Hello @ellarsee

Since you followed the instructions and are still getting the notifications on your watch, I'm brainstorming here. Consider trying setting up your Pixel Watch as a new device in the Fitbit app. This process could remove the issue that you're experiencing.

There's 2 ways you can do this:

  1. Remove your watch from the Fitbit app. Re-add the watch.
  2. Start the Add new device process. When you get the prompt to replace your current device, select Yes

Then, go through the process of disabling the Reminders to move, followed by syncing. I'd also suggest restarting the watch after syncing to the Fitbit app.

If you try this, please let us know if this process worked for you.

I just tried the add new device process, which ended up requiring me to restart my watch, afterwards it seemed to sync. I also re-disabled the move notifications, and I'll see if it works now.    Thanks.
