How do I get the prior app reinstalled

The new Google app is terrible as hundreds of reviews show.  How can I reinstall the prior app on an Android phone.   There are so many things wrong with the app it would take a long time to list them all. I will avoid updating the app on my IPad as long as possible.

Hi @SteveQual  you can't revert to a previous version of the app. The Google Play Store only lists as available, the latest app for your phone's operating system. I recently changed phones and kept my old Samsung 8, running Android 9. It can't get the latest app, so it still has the old one, which is different from the latest one that's on my Samsung 24+  running Android 14.
