Hey there,
I ran into problems with one of the more recent updates (v2.76, like a lot of other users did) and in the process noticed that my app version had "beta" listed. I turned off automatic updates when this issue happened and have manually done the update a week or two after subsequent updates once I've looked over the help forums to make sure there's not an uproar on the new version. With each update the "beta." has persisted on my app version. Currently running version "2.78 (30213313) Beta". I'm wondering if I managed to get myself added as a beta-tester at some point or does that beta mean something else? If I am a beta tester, how do I go about getting off that track? I'm assuming that the non-beta users (if there is such a thing) aren't having as many issues with new, buggy versions of the apps going live - or is fitbit's reputation of "not ready for prime-time" versions of their app consistent across the board?
For what it's worth fitbit - You guys need to get the software/app side of your house in order. I've been a fitbit user long enough to have developed a cringe each time my app updates. I shouldn't have to sit and wonder if the features of the app I use are going to work with each new version while it installs. I'd have been done with you long ago if I didn't love the hardware so much.
