How do I gps track my walks on this new look app? I used to go into activity and start a walk by clicking on the top right hand corner, then clicking start when the GPS worked out where I was. It would then measure the distance, splits and give me a nice map!!

Hello @Karen2969 and welcome to the Community.  Tap on the green "+" sign in the lower right, then the Start exercise option.

So you made the app a little more difficult with an extra, non-intuitive step.

I just found the plus sign. It gives options. One leads to the mapping

Thank you for this response, I have spent the last two days trying to figure out how to start an exercise as I do not like tracking on my watch as it seems to stop tracking randomly and I have missed at least .10 of a mile or more when walking so I am dependent upon the GPS of the app.

I tried the +Add Exercise button on the lower right. It only lists exercise choices. GPS does not show up. How do I get GPS?

Best Answer
After hitting the plus the upper left then hit start exercise.

I just did a 2 mile walk with it.
I have a Charge 5

Thanks! That works. How ridiculous of them to make that change.

I still can't get the GPS. You go to Exercise. Hit the +Add Exercise button in lower right. I then hit walk and it tells me to enter the info then save. There is no start prompt. I'm on an android. This is very frustrating!

Hit the plus button on the main screen...not the exercise screen.  Horrible update!!

Thank you! It worked, but agree it is a terrible upgrade!

Yes found the + on the opening page.  No explanation of what it was for until I read this post, thanks RockyMtn.  Hate the new look as well.  walker NOT jogger - don't know why it says that either?

Best Answer

Thank you so much! I kept reading to go into the exercise tab and that didn't work.

Well, my little green + icon in the bottom right corner only takes me to add exercise and asks what I did, it doesn't give me the option to track the exercise. I really dislike this new app, if I had to describe it (and I have described it so to people) I would describe it as garbage.

@Jim2177   Do you have the tile that says Exercise days toggled on?  I use an iPhone and the Start exercise option shows up when that tile is toggled on and disappears when it is toggled off.

Yep, and then it goes immediately to log exercise. It doesn't give me the choice between log and track.
