Hi @Steelercop if you have a Versa or Sense after picking the type of event to start. Look for the up arrow at the bottom of the screen and swipe up. Turn gps off for this type of event.
Most of the other trackers this is done through the exercise even settings on the app.

If your asking about having android needing location services on to sync, sorry but this is required by android, not fitbit.
However having location services on dies not turn GPS on, it simply unlocks the 6 different ways that an app can use to locate the phones position.
