How do I turn off the display of hourly activity?

My Android fitbit app just started showing a "hourly activity"  section labled "Are you ready to get moving?" This is not useful information as getting 250+ steps an hour is not a goal of mine. I will likely never have 5 or more consective hours of getting 250+ steps. I have a job that requires me to sit in meetings frequently. I get more than 15000 steps a day and why should I care if they only occur when I have the opportunity to get them? I should be able to turn this off but cannot find an option to do so on either the app or my fitbit account. What a useless addition and not being able to turn it off is very annoying. How about spending time improving accuracy? That would be useful.

Are you should have to do is press and hold your finger on it and an ex pops up for you to take it off of the display. Personally for me, I adore the idea of this. I love the challenge of trying to get my steps and every hour. You can also adjust the settings for different times during the day. It can go from as little as nine up to 14 hours for the day. And you can set the start and end time to whatever fits your schedule better. I think the whole point of this was that even if you get a lot of steps it's still better if you can get a certain amount of steps throughout your day not just all at once in the end of your day. But, like I said, if you really don't like it you can just take it off of the display screen.

Welcome to the forums @PLHelp and @Nigerski

Not every feature that Fitbit gives us is something everyone values. I no longer use my water log, but it's nice to know that it's there should I choose to use it again.

I agree @Nigerski that it is a nice reminder for us to get up and move.

Thank you! I'm glad someone finds the functionality useful but for me, I'm happy to not see something that I cannot do anything about.

I only want to be distracted by my watch if I've received a text, a phone call, or hit my daily goal. When I lift my wrist after a buzz in a meeting to only see I'm being coached to step more, that is not helpful. I just want to be able to turn this hourly activity thing off.

@busynessgirl You can turn off the Reminder to Move/Hourly Activity Goal with these instructions. Hope that helps!
