How to add a favorite meal on the Android app?

My phone is Samsung Galaxy 9, it and the Fitbit app are both updated. I have Fitbit HR Inspire 2. On my desktop PC in the web version I can create meals. Also, on my desktop PC I can indicate a food as a favorite (click the star).

Can anyone tell me how to do these two things on the phone. Making meals not so important on the phone, but being able to favorite a food would be helpful. Thanks.meals.jpg

Hi @chench53, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums.

Thanks for the screenshot you shared on your post, it made it easier to understand what you were asking for. While I was reading your post, I was wondering if there is an actual way to do the same thing but in the Fitbit app, and I realized that what you can do is transfer your favorite meals from the Dashboard to the Fitbit app. This means that all the meals you have already created should be shown in the Fitbit app under the Food Title.

Just to clarify, the same meals you have already created on your online Dashboard, will be shown on your Fitbit app.

Thanks Estuardo - yes, I already know that what I see in my online dashboard will appear in my Fitbit app, but sometimes I may enter a new (to me) food via the app and want to favorite it, but I can't. I have to go to the online dashboard and do it there. That is what prompted my question. I guess the only place to favorite a food is to do  it online, not the app.

My screen shots were taken from my desktop PC/online dashboard. The screen shots you posted are nothing like the app I use (android version), so I'm not sure where you are doing what you did. In my app, I know can "add custom food" but it's not a meal like I can do with the online version.

Another big difference, even with my premium membership, is that I can't even get to this community on the app, I have to use the desktop version.

Thanks for your reply - Gerry

I'm having the same problem. I very rarely go online to the dashboard and add items/ meals. But you can't do it in the Fit Bit app. At least not the way I think most of us want to. When I go to try to add a meal on the app it wants all the individual Calories, Fat, ..... when you create a meal. What I want to do is scan a product and then scan another product and make a meal.  Example. -- Add Chicken tenderloin, Add Breadcrumbs, Add butter, Add white wine, Add Asparagus and so on and so forth; then I have a Meal. I make this a lot! I just want to save time and click Chicken with Asparagus and add it one time and then I can just chose that meal to add my 657 calories instead of always scanning each individual item. I can make a meal online but it doesn't show up in the fit bit app. It shows each individual item added which I could live with but it doesn't show my created meal on my app anywhere under Frequent, Recent, custom or my foods. I updated my app this morning and everything was synced properly. I could be wrong but I think that is what other people want to do too. This would be so much easier than hunting through all the logged things that aren't in Alphabetical order (which would also be a huge help when looking for something).  I know the Recent wouldn't be because it would be the most recent things you ate but the Frequent, Custom & My foods it would be great if they where in ABC order versus searching through everything you have ever ate. Anyway thanks AMKB
