My Fitbit says I am asleep but restless when I am awake and watching a clock. I have spent about an hour trying to figure out how to reset the sensitivity without any luck.

@MMGreene, the Sleep Sensitivity setting is on the Fitbit.com Dashboard settings screen (the Settings Gear icon in the upper righthand corner of the dashboard).

I have a charge 2 that counts steps while I am asleep and I cannot find a way to change sensitivity on the latest 2019 version of the app. Pictures shown all over these forums are from 2017 so things have obviously changed since then, does anyone know how to change it on the 2019 app please?

Hi @SunsetRunner the confusion is caused by the fact they are not referring to the app dashboard, it's the on line one at fitbit.com. This confused the **** out of me when I first got my fitbit. I wish they would find another term for one or the other. Hope this helps.

the sensitivity to “Sensative”, syncing it then changing back to “Normal”
and re-syncing will sort out my Charge 2 recording steps while I am
asleep, unless off course I am actually sleep walking around our Close in
my Nick-Nacks!!! That doesn’t bear thinking about I can assure you!!

@SunsetRunner no bad thing, just kidding. Did your resynch sort your miscount?
I only ask as I have seen other people mention this on occasion but don't remember having seen a really satisfactory result. I have the opposite problem, my fitbit insists I'm asleep when I'm reading. My books are obviously not exciting enough.

normal and sensitive made no difference at all. Maybe I need to contact
FitBit direct, or just ignore it!!

I apologize for the delay in my response.
@SunsetRunner Thanks for that update and sharing that changing the settings didn't help. In this case I'd like to ask you some questions:
- Do you sleep with an open window or a fan? The wind hitting them could cause the Fitbit to think that you are moving.
- Did some of your habits change recently? Are you more stressed than usual or perhaps eating more before going to sleep? These could cause you to move around more than usual during your sleep.
- Stress could also cause the same thing to happen.

Hi again @SunsetRunner sorry it didn't work. Just had a thought, if you select the steps circle to get the bar chart and the days underneath. Select a day and then expand the next chart showing the days steps. You should then be able to see when during your sleep period the steps occurred. Then you could compare to other days which might indicate if something is disrupting your sleep at a regular time.
Neighbours who work antisocial hours etc. Might be worth a look.

Hi @SunsetRunner, did you get any enlightenment from your overnight step data? I was curious as I looked at mine and I don't appear to move at all, which I must confess I find that a bit disturbing.

Hello @SunsetRunner and @Lilbiddy.
@SunsetRunner Thanks for sharing that the sensitivity didn't change much of the sleep tracking.
Did you get a chance to read my previous post asking about possible reasons this could be happening. On top of that I'd like to ask if there is anything that could be causing you to move more than usual during your sleep. Perhaps it is very hot, or cold, or there could be some bugs bothering you while you sleep?
