Does anyone know how can I  get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally  useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!.  I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

Hello everybody. Thank you for visiting the Fitbit Community.

Your feedback about the new layout of the Fitbit app is highly appreciated. Our team is constantly working to improve the Fitbit experience.

I see that you're helping each other to clarify your doubts about how to see the average hours slept.

On the Feature Suggestions board, there is a request to make sleep score optional, you are welcome to vote and join here. Once any update be available, it will be communicated as soon as possible.

Your response is unacceptable. I will be leaving fitbit in one week if the sleep score is not eliminated or optional.

I want fitbit to succeed. Please listen and respond appropriately!

Just another rip off, pay for a service you did not request just to get
what you originally wanted!

  • Fitbit no longer adds my two distinct sleep times. It is due to a need to feed family and pets that interrupt my sleep, Therefore, I have two distinct sleep times. Please return to total time slept. I hate these scores and need to see my total hours/minutes simply as before. Thank you!
  • I’m really mad about this change and will discontinue fitbit next week unless addressed!

Edson, just to be clear, no one is "clarifying their doubts" about how to obtain the average sleep score.  It's not there.  We're all very clear on the fact that it was removed from the app. The data are still there but Fitbit is simply choosing to not allow us to see it on the app and replaced that valuable data with an arbitrary sleep score that has no meaning or value to most of us.  It took a post from a fellow member, not the moderator, to advise us that the average sleep score information we wanted is at least available on the website.

It's one thing to force users to pay for information that we want, but it's quite another to provide that information and THEN withdraw it, expecting users to purchase an add-on product that may or may not offer the information again.

Please reinstate mine as well Fitbit because I never requested them to be
changed. I have a abfib operation pending and my cardiologist relies on my
sleep average to find out how much I am resting .

I agree!  My sleep average is one of the reasons I purchased a Fitbit!  Please bring it back!!!!

Totally agree Mark.  Hate the sleep score- For me, it's a meaningless number.  Just want to know how many hours of sleep per night/week.

Lizzy-

I'm sure it was well intentioned, but the sleep score is meaningless.  Please bring back average number of hours slept or at least an option to turn off the sleep score and choose between hours slept and sleep score.  Thanks.

Thanks for this.

But my supposedly up to date app doesn't have an arrows icon on the sleep hours screen to get to average weekly sleep hours.

So I'm stuck with average sleep score as the primary option.

Which, apart from one week where it shows 72, consistently shows zeros. So is a useless measure.

I don't mind having sleep score as the primary option. As long as I can get at the data I want roughly in the format it was in when I first bought the fitbit.

Although it would be better to allow users to select either sleep score or hours slept as their default screen.

Are you next planning a fit score? So instead of getting my pulse rate I get another meaningless number?

Options is a great idea. Right now i have nothing.

Agree.  I have no idea why they start messing with the gadget and it gets worse.  Today it's not tracking my hourly steps..250. I can even move my screen face..its stuck.

Fitbit has been a big disappointment.  They are probably working on it, but it's inconveniencing me. Can't track my exercise...SAD

I have one 75 sleep score since their worthless change was made....every
other night is....a zero. Which far from reality.....

This is completely unacceptable and unfortunately, Fitbit's default reponse. This entire feature suggestions board is a complete and utter waste of time. It is intended to give people the idea that Fitbit is listening and Fitbit hope that once people vote for one of these suggestions, they feel that they've done all they can do and forget about it.

In the mean time, after a few weeks, the Suggestion thread will be closed, people will be unable to vote for it but Fitibit will still point to it and claim "look just vote and we might actually listen to you".

Search this forum for posts about the dark theme and you will see this exact same process happening. Go back further and the exact same process happened with post wanting to revert the app's interface back to what it was, go back even further and there will be posts about reverting the previous app's interface to what it was.

Do not fall for this underhanded tactic!! They keep saying how much our feedback is appreciated and how their developers are working to improve the experience. At NO POINT do they actually say that they will listen to feedback and that the developers are working to reverse this latest and unwanted change!.

Soon they will start closing threads about this and point to the suggestions forums and tell us to vote for this suggestion, while they have no intention to actually change anything or consider any of the suggestions

That's what we all should do, delete the app and just use our computers. I'm sure the data they gather from access to other info on our phone is valuable and if that source of revenue goes away maybe they'll listen to the unhappy app users! But likely in the meantime I'll suck it up and buy an Apple Watch. It has sleep and fitness apps too!

Apologies if I'm being dense and missing something, but don't you need the app on your phone to be able to access the data on your fitbit?

Otherwise it won't make its way to the fitbit servers and you won't be able to see the data through the website.

@TimmyJo that is correct.
