Does anyone know how can I  get the average sleep Hours back where it was I find the fitbit sleep score totally  useless. I had 5 hours 40 min sleep got a sleep score of 82 rated good "what the ?" How could that possibly be a good nights sleep!!!.  I just want to know my average hours for the week back where it was instead of the useless sleep score.

no idea what you’re asking. I’ve had tons of emails dealing with lack of average weekly sleep hours. Someone tells me it’s back. It isn’t on mine.

Not mine. It’s the same other than they changed the look of it. I preferred it the way it was before this update and the sleep score. I hate answering these without showing what I’m responding to. It doesn’t show up. I get emails from the community and I have no idea what they are answering, as when we hit reply, all that shows up is what we write, not what we’re responding to.

Yeah. I wouldn’t update either if I could get it the way it used to be!

Hi

Thanks it is useful to know the swiping you can then see your sleep hours, instead of the absolutely useless sleep score (utterly meaningless). However, as another uses quite rightly points out. Under the graph where it says "This week", I want to see the hour I slept - not the bloody sleep score again!!! I only bought the FitBit to monitor my sleep as I often suffer insomnia and I have set a goal to get on average 7 hours a sleep at night. I never achieve this, but it is my goal!! And now it is near impossible to monitor my goal. Very, very disappointed. FitBit needs to revert back to hours slept. This Sleep Score is rubbish. I got 2 hours 38 min sleep and a score of "Fair" - really?? You think? Just admit defeat and give us back a functioning FitBit and sack there person who rolled this idea out onto your FitFibt purchasers - as this is NOT what I bought into.

I agree, I won't buy another FitFbit if they don't change this massive mistake back to what worked before - immediately!! Why should we wait while our suggestions are 'under consideration'. They have the capacity to revert this now - we aren't asking for a new development. We just want back useful, meaningful information that we used to get!!!

They won't listen to your concerns!

OMG - there is no way I would ever have found that without your details explanation (and photos) of drilling down so deep into the data - hidden so cleverly - is this a game of hide and seek?

So much more fun now having to search hard for the information and go onto FitBit community, rather than having the info right there in front of us like we used to have!! Oh keep this up - we can use these searching skills and are success or failure to judge our average hours sleep over the week and how sleep deprived we are - much more accurate than your sleep score !!

I'm a medical doctor and it's totally true that the sleep score is worthless. So it's a pity that Fitbit doesn't listen to their users and to experts, before starting a feature.
It's the same problem with showing calories for swimming, this is also worthless. But after asking and begging for changing that during 1,5 year, Fitbit didn't change that.
Why, Fitbit, do you give useless data to your users? Don't you have a team of experts that you always contact before you start with a (new) feature? I would love to have a discussion with your experts about the 2 topics I mentioned above. I really wonder what arguments they have to show us these useless information and even change good data about an avarage to worthless data, like a sleep score.
Thanks for bringing me in contact with them!
I have a Fitbit Ionic since January 2018. It’s my 4th now, during my warranty of 2 years. I hope this one lasts much longer. Updates are dangerous!

@Linjo, if you use the @ symbol you should get a list of names to choose from so your post is aimed to a certain person.  Everyone will still see it but it does help following different discussions in the same thread.

Cheers.

I so hear you about insomnia. It’s a real beast! I’m just getting a handle on over 5 years of dragging myself through the day and needing afternoon naps, thereby only managing to get through the necessities of life and not much more. My sister-in-law, a retired psychiatric geriatric teaching nurse was here for a visit. She suggested non-addicting Mirtazapine 7.5 mg. Helped a lot and I’m now weaning myself off. A helpful supplement from a Health Food Store, or online, is AOR Ortho-Sleep. It didn’t work for me all by itself, but now that I’m on the right path, a couple of times I just used the Ortho-Sleep, and a couple of times nothing! And slept well. I tried everything else I could think of, including marijuana brownies, me, who is deathly against all 'social' drugs, due to my kids' addictions. Some worked for awhile, then quit working. I have auto immune, and believe I just need to get my body's sleep rhythm back. So far, good results since July.

I do hope you find a solution. Insomnia is a challenge to live with!

I agree that sleep scores don't suggest where the issues are. I can get a 7-8 hour sleep and score a 70 while getting a 77 for 5 1/2 hours! Very strange! I use the Deep Sleep and REM sleep to tell me my sleep quality...and no matter what the sleep score says, I know if I actually feel tired or awake. I would still prefer knowing my average sleep per day versus the sleep score average. To me, the Sleep score does little to encourage good sleep habits, so the point of a sleep score is lost in the sleep results. It seems rather pointless to me and I would rather sleep 7-8 hours with a 70 score than 5-6 hours with a 77 score!
