Does the new interface show the battery charge percentage?

Thanks for update.  However, the battery info shows "full" but looking at the Charge 5 (with a microscope), it shows 94%.  We need a percentage to show in the app, please.

Same. New app is ugly, useless and clumsy. What a waste!

Hello
Please listen to the people. We don’t need to know battery status. We need to know battery percentage. It was a big mistake to remove that feature.

Bye bye fitbit!

I agree, on my Charge 5 device the battery level is soooooo small I can't see it without using a magnifying lens.  I always used the app on my phone to check the battery level but with the new app update you can no longer see the battery status when you pull down from the top to sync.  VERY DISAPPOINTING.  Fitbit PLEASE update and bring it back to the app.

I was using it today just to see my steps and such, it locked up and I had to close out of it and swipe it out completely to close it down to get back in fresh.

I closed out of the app and reopened it and it still doesn't show battery percentage on the app. I uninstalled the Fitbit app and then reinstalled it on my android phone hoping that would resolve the issue but ......... No Luck. Still has no battery percentage on the app.  Fitbit, please resolve this issue.

Bring back the Battery %.

Yes they need to do better.

The replies from Fitbit staff and the very occasional user who likes the update are so frustrating. They simply can't accept that people hate the update because things have either been removed or take multiple steps to find instead of one or two steps. Telling us how to find the battery symbol that says medium or full doesn't help when we want the percentage. Hiding stuff six layers deep is not useful. Making things harder to read helps nobody. I have to wonder who they think this new app is for?

Best Answer

I agree, wish they would bring the battery percentage back.

This is horrible.  You guys have done nothing to help fitbit users.  How freaking hard is it to show the battery percentage on the home screen.  I don't care if it's low, I need to know HOW LOW.  First you took away the challenges and the private groups, now this.  You suck Fitbit/Google.

@TobiasF I totally agree with you- the patronising comments from Fitbit representatives stating cheerily 'oh don't worry, that feature is still there you just need to follow this overly-complicated instruction to find it', and providing multi-step instructions for something that should just be 'there' - to me just shows total disdain for their customers.

I've been using Fitbit for many years and I have never before needed instructions on how to use/find anything at all in the app!  I am so hoping that they see sense and bring back the previous version but I have a feeling they are going to ride this out and they don't care if people go elsewhere.

I'm done with them. I went ahead and switched to the Amazfit. I can't be any more disappointed with it than I am with FitBit and like you said, their attitude that this is the greatest update ever. Even though I liked my old one it was starting to act up and not coming on when I looked at it or tapped it like it used too. I guess I should thank FitBit for making the decision to choose another brand easier.

How is the Amazfit? I am shopping for product so that I can leave this Fitbit **ahem**show.

I could never imagine a company downgrading an app to the point where you need to do THREE steps to find a status bar that doesn't even give you the info you need anyway.  Who do they hire for creating apps? Don't they do any focus groups with users, and why don't they give us a choice to try the new app and then go back to the prior version (and give feedback as to why we did)?

Fitbit doesn't care that we are going to be leaving in droves anyway. Or so it seems.

SO patronizing and unresponsive that I am actually shocked.

I wish I could tell you but I just ordered it. It had some of the best reviews and I checked out the app and it more closely aligns with what I like (like the old version of the Fitbit app).

Best Answer

I think that Fitbit must fix this issue quickly, we are a lot of users asking for ....

Best Answer

Maybe hitting the reviews on the app store will cause some notice?

Best Answer

Yes, frustrating.  Obviously my fitbit is getting older just barely past the 1 year mark and I'm having to charge it more often than I'd like. And not being able to see what the percentage of the charge is I'm waking up regularly to a dead fitbit. Not good.

@mbjornholm since end of Sept lot of 1star review floating the app store but for some strange reason the overall score is not dropping, seems google is pausing the app score there or outright rigging the results, wouldn't be surprised by Google doing something like this, see comments from @Widdershins @Linz16 @RunKatana

I changed my clock face to one that has it.  I'm not a fan of the new app!
