Does the new interface show the battery charge percentage?

@Klmccoy5  What is the name of the clock face you're using that shows the battery percentage?

----

I had a Charge 3 which lasted about 3 years, then a Charge 4 which lasted almost 3 years exactly, and now I have a charge 5.  My wife has an iWatch 3 Series coming up on 5 years now.  I don't like the iWatch much, but at least they last.  Then again, all 3 of my watches cost less than the iWatch.  If this new Charge 5 last 3 years, that's 9 years for $300, compared to the iWatch at $349.

My aspire HR app no longer displays battery status. How can it be fixed.

@Cohenbru unfortunately, that feature has been removed from the latest version of the Fitbit app. I don't know why. There is a suggestion here that battery percentage be restored. I hope you will consider commenting and voting on that.

I feel that it should be there as it was a useful reminder. There is nothing on the watch either to alert you. How do you comment to Fitbit about it?

@TobiasF  @Widdershins @RunKatana in case you don't see my comment on the main thread, things have moved on in the Play store!

'I note today on the Play store, the overall rating for the Fitbit app has gone down to 3.8 (I think it was 4.5 yesterday) and there are now lots of recent reviews to reflect this (prior to today they only went up to 28th Sep)- so we need to keep adding these review it seems they just take a few days to show.'

I just write my review and gave 1 star stating don't like the new format and the % of battery isn't showing..

I don't see a clock face with a battery percentage.  Which one are you using that shows it???

Best Answer
It is on all the clock faces, but you have to scroll up to see it.
Best Answer

That has always been there when you scroll up from any of the clock faces.  Unfortunately it is so small you need a magnifying glass to see it.  I think what every one is looking for is a place on the new version of the app on your phone that shows the battery PERCENTAGE like you use to see when you  pulled down to sync on the old version of the app.

I agree with you. I need to see the battery usage. It's bad enough that my
Luxe does not hold a charge longer than a day, but now I cannot even see
where the battery life left on the Luxe is until the Luxe fitbit is dead.
My Luxe fitbit is worthless now.
I will be switching to a different brand for a fitbit watch.

DON'T get another Fitbit product as they don't seem to care about what their customers want.  Alot of comments have posted that they are switching from Fitbit to other products that are more user friendly. I just got my Charge 5  five months ago and don't want to spend the money for a new tracker but when the time comes I will definitely look elsewhere.

@Linz16 thanks for following up on this!

I also can see the rate now dropping as expected (see below)

Google are you listening? Or still sitting on the sidelines and pretending this all just irrelevant "noise"?

One week since you launched your "re-designed" app to great fanfare and I quote Maggie&Bhanu "with you in mind" shows clearly that the "you" part in your PR text are opposing and even hating it.

Time to pull the 4.x app and re-instate the 3.x version of the Fitbit app that we love and want.

thanks @Linz16 for follow up. Watch you meantime I got 7 post deleted from the censors here just in mentioning the google playstore 3% rating drop in one week. It's also visible now on my side. Clearly a topic that gets under the skin of the wannabe moderators here.

I am also upset with the removal of the SOC. Fitbit/Google please fix this.

@RunKatana wow it's incredibly similar isn't it....well that just confirms my suspicions along with the blasé couldn't-care-less replies that we've been getting from FB staff (if I read again that the battery percentage is there when it blatantly is not I'm honestly going to scream!!!) - there is obviously a higher plan here.  Even if the app was any good, after witnessing the sneaky way that this has all been done I will not be touching the G00*le products with a bargepole!

Where is the battery percentage icon?  It was the first thing I looked at and now its gone.  This new update needs an update.

Best Answer

Oh it's there but it's buried and only shows the icon with no actual % number - Click the top left watch icon then look to the top right on the mext screen

And in addition we're (husband & I) are no longer getting emails or app notifications that our Fitbit batteries are low.

The battery status does not show the percentage like it did on the old app.  Telling us that the battery is medium is pretty useless.  Please tell the programmers that we want the percentage of battery back.  I know I can look at my device, but the app should do it too.

Since app update, battery % does not show up.
