Hi, @1GinnyME1! Unfortunately, I think this is a "feature," not a bug. You can submit a suggestion for them to bring it back in the Product Feedback forum.

Hi, I think this is a terrible feature to remove. I've been with Fitbit since 2014 and this has always been there.

They could do better

But they refuse to admit how bad this downgrade was.

Please bring back the % battery charge icon in the “Today” screen. I forget to change screens and let my device go dead. The quarter-full icon doesn’t give me enough information.

I'm also not getting the app notifications on my phone.  Just another thing they have tqken away with the new update.  I guess Fitbit and Google want to lose customers who now will look elsewhere for their trackers.

I'm done fooling around with "fitbit."  Not only does my Charge 5 not able to stay "charged" for any significant amount of time, and now, not being able to get an accurate reading of the percentage, it's never charged when i need it.  I spend my time keeping my Charge 5 on life support.  Totally not worth it anymore.  There's higher rated trackers available that are less inexpensive.

Make sure you turn off all of the GPS's for the different activities, those will kill your battery really quick.  My new Fitbit Charge 5 has been going for almost a week now with still 35% left

It is indeed frustrating when I cant see the % of the battery..

This is NOT a feature! My wife and I  charge our sense and sense 2 at night whe in bed reading. We check on the progress by checking status on our phones. Without this data on the phone, we have to constantly get up to see the actual status. We do NOT like this update at all; it provides no value add!

Thank you for the validation on this! I charge mine while in the shower and before the update, I was able to go to the app and update the app to get the progress to know when it's done charging. Now, I have to check it periodically to see it's done by removing & putting it back on the device and the last 1% takes up to an hour to charge! Just ridiculous!

My husband and I both are very frustrated with this change!  We both used that feature to check the battery level on our Fitbit as it was easier to see for us than the tiny print on the Fitbit itself.

Put it back!

I totally agree with you.

My Charge 5 is now showing low battery if I go look at it in my devices with the New App on my phone.  But I did not get an email yet, notifying me that my watch needs to be charged.  I did check and it is at 23% when I plugged it in for a second, so I am waiting to see if it sends me the email once at/or below 20%.    I can tell you what though, I am really liking what i see on the Amazfit 7 for $49 on Amazon.  It might be worth a try for my next replacement, if this Charge 5 doesn't work out.  I can still take it back to Costco and get my money back, it's only been like 2 weeks so far.  I did get the Charge 5 for $99 though, which isn't bad, but saving $50 for something that gives me just exactly what I need sounds pretty good.

So... I went into the App, to see how I slept as well as check my morning steps and nothing pops up telling me my Charge 5 battery is low.  My Charge 5 battery is at 16% and I got nothing from the App or Email that my battery is low.  I used to get this before with the old App, I think I will take this back to Costco and try the Amazfit 7 and save some money while I am at it.

It is very sad that I have been using a Fibit for 10 years now and have to change because they just don't pay attention to some of the very small details of what is important to its customers.

I did get the email to notify me that my Charge 5 battery is getting low, this happened when it hit 15%. I think I will keep it and hope that at some point soon, they put the battery percentage back in place in the App. I gotta go though... so I can charge my watch. Haha

I don't even see that.

I refer to the feature to make sure my Fitbit is charging (which can be a problem). Don’t know who made this call - but no one consulted with the Fitbit customers

The removal of the battery level is unfortunate for me. I don’t charge regularly because I like to get sleep data & activity data both so I plug in if I have to be sedentary for a while & it helps to know current % is at to know if I need to do this. I’d love to see this feature returned!

New app is ugly and cheap looking.  To large fonts.  Battery life needs to be added back
