Evidently it has been released in ver4.04 ----for iOS, and presumably also Android, although that version for Android is still being rolled-out. Mine is currently 4.03 (Android) and also lacking percentage charge indicator.

When I check my phone for app updates it doesn't show any available for my Fitbit app. I synced and still no battery percent.

I found a battery % on Charge 4. From first watch face, swipe up - it's on the very top, super tiny! 🙂

Hello everyone.

That is correct. With the last app update the battery indicator in percentage is back on the "Today" tab. Please note that app updates are released in waves. Soon everyone will receive the update. Note that both Android and iOS apps have been updated. It is just a matter of time until you get the new version.  I appreciate your patience.

RodrigoMFitbit,

Is the "New" app stil using 4.03 as its version number?    My app is 4.03 but there is no battery percentage on the today tab.

Well I hope it rolls out to me soon - woke up to 7% battery and reduced functionality this morning. This is the third time since the battery percentage was removed from the app, despite me checking my actual Fitbit fairly frequently.

When people started seeing the battery percentage again in the app it was mentioned that it was ver 4.04 in iOS. I have android and my current version is 4.03 and have had no update offered to me yet but people say it's being rolled out in waves.

I also still have no battery percentage and no option to update on Android.

It beggars belief that they would take this feature away without asking users if it was useful, and then have to backtrack and add it back in. Ridiculous. Whyever did they not ask some of their (previously) loyal massive customer base to test the new app and give feedback before putting it live?!
