I know this question has been asked a number of times, but there's a lot of confusion and the app has changed.
I want to turn of the Fitbit Sync Service running in the background.
"All-day sync" and "Always Connected" are both OFF and do not help
I don't want to just turn off the notifications for the sync service I want to turn off the sync service itself (which the last two steps are supposed to do, but don't!)
So long pressing the notification etc to disable notifications is not what I want, I want to turn off the sync service itself.
Does anyone know the correct procedure to do this?
(Android 8, Latest App)

Hi @ziplock9000 ,
Why do you want to turn this service off? Is it a performance issue?
Well my experiments on android showed that even when I killed the process, before long it would restart anyway, so I just let it run.

For performance issues mainly yes. I simply do not need anything fitbit related executing on my phone until I open the app. Even if this makes syncing or anything else faster once I do open the app.
