Huawei p10 lite irregularities

I've seen multiple messages that Huawei P10 lite is not compatible with Fitbit Charge 2 but why is this not advertised when buying the product? I cannot even return it now as I have used it and the place I bought it does not even allow to return it after it has been taken out of its original packaging! Really disappointed with this especially as it sometimes decides to update itself on the app on my Huawei p10 lite, so simply does not understand what is happening??? Does it work with it or not???

It does not consistently work. Fitbit say:

"Due to Bluetooth issues that prevent Huawei Lite models, including P8 and P9 Lite, from syncing with some devices, like Fitbit devices, our products are not compatible with these mobile phones."

These lite phones do not appear on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices

On the retail packaging for fitbits it tells people to check this list (although I wonder how many people actually see this before buying!)
