So there's still no update from FITBIT regarding an official notice on whether they are working on a fix for the Huawei phones...can anybody provide an explanation? If not I'll m just gonna throw **ahem**bit in the bin 😐.

Fitbit have said:
WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT USING MY FITBIT DEVICE WITH A HUAWEI PHONE?
Due to Bluetooth issues that prevent Huawei Lite models, including P8 and P9 Lite, from syncing with some devices, like Fitbit devices, our products are not compatible with these mobile phones.

I wish I knew that before I bought my Huawei. Its very disappointing. Definitely not getting as much from my fitbit as I used to.
But I don't blame fitbit as other apps are not working as well on my Huawei as they did on Samsung eg Strava. Going back to Samsung next time.

Hello @PhysixGuy, @SteveH and @SunsetRunner.
@SteveH Thanks for sharing that information in here!
Like the article mentions, the Fitbit app is not compatible with those devices. You can get a list of compatible devices in here. Be sure to check on it before getting any new phones.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

It appears that the software engineers are just being lazy! My iPad is version 4.2 Bluetooth like my huawei, it works with my iPad but not my phone, they are just limiting the compatibility to mainstream phones which is a bit of manipulation towards the brand leaders.
