Huge step back in health tracking on latest android app upgrade

The latest update has really reduced the usefulness of the health metrics data by removing the 90 day view. This was particularly useful for women as our monthly cycle means some of these metrics change around the month anyway and so a longer term view is required to spot trends. You lose the detail of the daily data points in the 12 month view but the 90 day view was ideal for this.

It is also a lot less efficient to check this data as I now have to click into each individual metric to see the graph where I could previously see them all on the same screen which made looking for relationships between the data sets easier too.

The cover page with the list of the individual metrics is almost useless, as those numbers mean very little without the graphs to see how they compare to your trends.

Finally, the move to a one calendar month view instead of the last 30 day view of the previous version, so you only have a few days data to view earlier in the month, is completely ridiculous and also makes this data set useless until the last few days of a calendar month when there is enough data to view a slightly longer term trend.

My mind is blown on the extent to which this is a step back in usefulness of this health tracking data from a long standing health and fitness tracking company. The fact that such a poor decision has been made to remove this functionality which is such an obvious and huge step back in health tracking ability for users means I have lost a lot of confidence in Fitbit as the right choice for my health and fitness tracking as I no longer feel like you know what customers want or need from this service and can be trusted to make other decisions around data which we have less sight of but could effect the data shown to us in the app.

There are quite a few of us on here who think this "update" is a huge step backwards.  There is less data, it's less visible, and it take a lot of clicks to navigate around.

Absolutely dreadful downgrade to what was a clear and useful set of charts.

I completely agree. Especially as a woman with a monthly cycle and variations in health metrics, the 90-day view was the most useful part of the app, and it's frustrating that that has been taken away. Fitbit, please reconsider this change!

I'll add that this change is especially frustrating for women with a menstrual cycle which cause monthly variations in our health metrics. The old 90-day view let me see how those monthly changes tracked over multiple months -- so I could actually see meaningful health improvements over time. The data is still all there in the background somewhere... It's annoying that the update has made it so inaccessible to us.
