If you've tried everything and your FitBit still won't sync to your app

I just got the Alta for Christmas and had it set up ok, syncing was working fine, etc.  Then a few days later, it wouldn't sync to my Android app anymore.  I tried all the trouble shooting steps TWICE and it still wouldn't sync.  (I also tried to live chat via PC for help but it only opened up a new window with all the contact support options again.)  It turns out, the previous day I had set up Smart Lock and made my Alta a trusted device and then I accidentally selected "require encryption" which I believe caused it not to sync anymore.  This was no where in the trouble shooting steps which is why I wanted to post it.  Thanks to my husband for figuring this out!
